#atozchallenge: absurdist’s pictionary: D

For this excerpt from the absurdist’s pictionary, I stole the picture – guess that makes it all the more absurd?

There doesn’t seem to be a term

for absurd words that sound,

or at least to my cacophonic ear and dyslexic tongue,

the same but mean well, anything but?

The English language is so weird that way, I would hate to even attempt learning it as a second language and I greatly admire all the hundreds of people who do

    • Only had the chance to do a very quick skim your phenomenal blogs, but once a batch or two of the cookies are done, I’ll get a very large mug of coffee — just in case to dryness — and spend some time with you. I’m looking forward to the visit.

LOL@ the absurdity (which I adore) of this post! And you know, I ALWAYS trip on these damn words. I mean seriously, who was the “genius” that thought, yeah, let’s really confuse the hell outta people, let’s call the really nasty drive you into sugar-induced diabetic empty calories so not good for you which means they have to have it comas – er … you know …. the not sandy stretches? See? I don’t even trust myself now! I swear whatever “Supreme Being” or whatever has a wicked sense of humor – really – dry arid impossible hot stretches of sand and more sand + sugar laden totally the wrong side of the health tracks ….. either way …. is it a guarantee that either/or might lead to death?!

…. as she wanders off to contemplate lunch followed by bite-sized cinnamon sugar coated donuts for …. well … you know … AFTER lunch ….
