3lt: summer play

Summer was our makeup palette; berry-stained cheeks, cherry-red lips, crushed petals eye-shadow.

We’d plait sprigs of lavender, wild thyme and chamomile in each other’s hair.

This is my last summer; will you come to play in cherry orchards; wildflower meadows; berry patches with me?
