three line tales, week 29 – purple lightning

They found her rocking and crying on her kitchen floor, next to a finished load of wash, blank screen of her lap top the only light.

She had a pile of used kleenex, but there still was snot all over her face, fingers and the front of her dress mixed with the salt of a thousand tears.

Her  mind had gone like a backwards-bolt of lightening up into the sky.
